Award
The Macallan Visitor Experience convinced another jury. This time the Visitor Experience in the Scottish Speyside won silver at the renowned ADC*E (Art Directors Club of Europe)
Lecture
New technologies also mean new possibilities for design. But how do technology and design influence each other? Cord-Hinrich Grote, Associate Partner at ATELIER BRÜCKNER, addresses this exciting topic during his lecture at the JUNG Architecture Talks in Seoul.
The project "The Macallan Visitor Experience" is awarded silver in the category "Spatial Design" and thus already receives the 15th award.
Prof. Uwe R. Brückner holds a lecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts (KADK) in Copenhagen, sharing his design philosophy "form follows content" with the audience. Selected projects from over 20 years illustrate a journey through a Scenographic Wonderland featuring Museums, Exhibitions, Expo-Pavilions and innovative concepts based on his understanding of contemporary scenography.
Shirin Frangoul-Brückner holds a lecture at the international conference "Human remains in archaeological museums" in the Acropolis Museum, Athen. She addresses the question of how to deal with human remains in museum exhibitions and presents ATELIER BRÜCKNER's approach.
The Wagenhallen Stuttgart win the coveted award "Beispielhaftes Bauen" by the Baden-Württemberg Chamber of Architects.
Opening
Focus on the collection: The Swiss National Museum stages its holdings. From 11 October onwards, the new permanent exhibition will be open for viewing in the Landesmuseum Zurich.
At the Heritage Middle East Conference in Abu Dhabi, Cord-Hinrich Grote, Art Director of ATELIER BRÜCKNER, will present current projects by ATELIER BRÜCKNER, which relate to the theme of staging cultural heritage within museums. The lecture is titled: „Scenographic Design – how to display Heritage in the Future“.
In Troisdorf, near Bonn, the Hippolytusgarten catholic family centre opens. The building includes a kindergarten and a family centre. It is characterised by light-flooded, versatile rooms that are oriented towards a spacious, north-facing outdoor space and thus offers room for the development of the children.
Assignment
ATELIER BRÜCKNER was awarded the contract for the exhibition design of the Museum of London’s „Past Time“ galleries in their new location: the former West Smithfield market.
Our project Hyundai - Design Your Own World wins the Best of Best award of the Automotive Brand Contest 2019. The award ceremony will take place on 10th of September in Frankfurt.
Event
In the course of the CIPEG Meeting at the ICOM General Conference 2019 in Kyoto, keynote-speaker Prof. Uwe R. Brückner will present the concept and scenography of the Grand Egyptian Museum. The event will take place at 3 p.m. at the International Conference Center in Kyoto.
