Casa Ricordi, one of the most famous music publishing companies in the world, celebrated its 200th anniversary in 2008. On this occasion, the collection of the Archivio Ricordi with its most outstanding treasures of the Italian opera is made accessible to a wide audience. As from 2008 a world wide touring exhibition will display over 200 original exhibits, such as autographs, drawings, sketches and letters. The exhibition intends a tour through the various stages in the development of an opera. Installations, as well as interactive media stations allow the visitors to experience the fascinating world of opera.
