German Watch Museum Glashütte
Permanent exhibition, 2008
Exterior view German Watch Museum Glashütte

Largely supported by Wagner´s citation „Time becomes space“ (Parsifal), the topic of time is experiencable in a new way inside the premises of the former school of watchmaking. The sequence of History Rooms and Time Rooms offers a „clocked“ course to the visitor. In the daylight History rooms the history of the watch industry in Glashütte is told from 1845 until today. The shaded time rooms interrupt the time continuum by inserting into the scene a special aspect of time or time measurement.
