The Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza has officially opened its doors – marking a historic moment for Egypt and for the world.
Shirin Brückner had the honour of accompanying Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Elke Büdenbender to the inauguration ceremony on Saturday.

For the first time, visitors can now experience the complete treasure of Tutankhamun in the Tutankhamun Gallery. Together with the Grand Stairs, the Atrium, and the Children’s Museum, ATELIER BRÜCKNER designed four core spaces that shape the identity and visitor experience of what is now the world’s largest archaeological museum.
