Lufthansa HANGAR ONE 2026Frankfurt
Client: Deutsche Lufthansa AG Size (sqm): 3.388
To mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of the first Lufthansa, the Group is opening its first permanent exhibition on April 15, dedicated to its own history at the new conference and visitor center, Lufthansa Group Hangar One. Conceived and designed by ATELIER BRÜCKNER, the exhibition traces the history of Lufthansa as part of German social and aviation history while also looking ahead to a more sustainable and innovative future. At the heart of the visitor journey are two legendary aircraft – the Lockheed Super Star and the Junkers Ju 52 – which themselves become the central protagonists of the narrative.
HANGAR ONE, designed by Albert Speer + Partner, includes coworking spaces, a café, a shop, and conference areas. The exhibition provides orientation and creates identity: it explains what Lufthansa stands for and makes the company accessible to a broad audience. Lufthansa Group Hangar One is a hybrid space that explains history, organizes the present, and opens up debate about the future. The exhibition presents the company as a technical, cultural, and social narrative, tracing design, responsibility, and transformation within the Group.
