The industrial museum of Dingolfing provides the history of the city over three floors and indicates its meaning as an important location for the car production. Hans Glas developed the Goggomobil in Dingolfing and set up a true »economic miracle factory« in the 1950s. In 1967 the enterprise was taken over by BMW, making it the most significant BMW production site in Germany.
