The Neuenmarkt train station is being refurbished, along with the former social building and the goods shed. The station's main building is a listed monument, dating from the middle of the 19th century and was built in the typecast style of the era along the Ludwig-Süd-Nord-Bahn. The ground floor offers a foyer for exhibitions and a restaurant; on the upper floors apartments and guest lodging are included. In combination with the German Steam Locomotive Museum, which is located on the opposite side of the railtrack, the revitalised station Neuenmarkt will become a new and welcoming jewel for the municipality.
