A more friendly invitation: The entrance area of the Staatliches Museum für Naturkunde (State Museum for Natural History) invites the visitors to explore the museum. The shop and cash desk area match each other in the CI-colours of the museum. The prologue introduces the permanent exhibition. An installation consisting of four glass columns gives a survey of the museum’s main thematic points. The layered sequence of single glass plates, which unify into columns, symbolizes different layers of time whose core information can be called up interactively. At the push of a button, text and graphic, which are lased into the glass plates, become visible.
