4000 years of cultural history and a unique artificial landscape at the Western shore of Lake Constance mark the starting point for the permanent exhibition in the Seeum of Bodman-Ludwigshafen. It concentrates on the interplay between landscape and cultural area; the focus is on archaeology (Prehistoric and Protohistoric Archaeology), Early and Late Middle Ages as well as many regional sagas and legends. The main room narrative is a walk-through topography enabling a presentation of the exhibits that are independent of traditional chronology – the objects are directly assigned to the place they were found. Media stations, time-windows, magnifier tables and audio dramas interactively impart the region's specifics.
