"Well-founded as well as aesthetically appealing" (statement of the jury): The German Hat Museum Lindenberg is presented with the Bavarian Museum Award for its "outstanding museum's work". The award comes with a prize money of 20,000 euros.

Six crystalline showcases, grouped around a central black diamond, offer insights into the rich tradition of Swiss luxury watchmaker OMEGA. The exhibition is on show at Mix City Mall in Shenyang, China, until 20th of November. It will tour through Asia for one year afterwards.

The German Steam Locomotive Museum in Franconia as well as the Expertisium at Aesculap Academy in Bochum are honoured with the attribute "Special Mention" at this year's German Design Award. The successful solutions convinced the jury.
