Architecture must sustain and welcome the future, but how does it need to react to factors such as sustainability, demographic change and the application of new technologies? In an architectural talk in Vienna, Shirin Frangoul-Brückner discusses the question of future-oriented architecture.

The Frame Awards Longlist 2020 has been published and ATELIER BRÜCKNER is represented with not just one, but two projects: Hyundai – Design your own world and the KTM Motohall made it to the next level of the judging process.

ATELIER BRÜCKNER was responsible for the design of the permanent exhibition in 1999. To celebrate the 20th anniversary, Prof. Uwe R. Brückner will participate in a panel discussion in Cologne. In addition, the museum will open the anniversary exhibition "20 years - 20 objects" until the beginning of january 2020.

Congratulations to Tanja Zoellner and Cord-Hinrich Grote! We welcome them as new Associate Partners of ATELIER BRÜCKNER, expanding our management board with two experienced Project Managers.

Associate Partner Tanja Zoellner holds a lecture titled „Magic and Logic – how to stage minuscule objects and giant treasures"(Magie und Logik – wie man Kleinode und Giganten in Szene setzt). She gives an insight on projects like "Audemars Piguet- Maison des Fondateurs" or the "Grand Egyptian Museum": Audemars Piguet will feature the microscopical and precise components that make for a premium quality watch, whereas the Grand Egyptian Museum will stage around 50.000 artefacts, ranging from tiny objects and fragments to entire obelisks and the colossal statue of Ramses II.

The European Museum of the Year award is one of the most prestigious awards in the museum industry. This year, two museums with exhibitions by ATELIER BRÜCKNER are nominated: the Swiss National Museum (Landesmuseum Zürich) and the Junghans Terrassenbau Museum in the Black Forest.

The Macallan Visitor Experience convinced another jury. This time the Visitor Experience in the Scottish Speyside won silver at the renowned ADC*E (Art Directors Club of Europe)

New technologies also mean new possibilities for design. But how do technology and design influence each other? Cord-Hinrich Grote, Associate Partner at ATELIER BRÜCKNER, addresses this exciting topic during his lecture at the JUNG Architecture Talks in Seoul.

The project "The Macallan Visitor Experience" is awarded silver in the category "Spatial Design" and thus already receives the 15th award.

Prof. Uwe R. Brückner holds a lecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts (KADK) in Copenhagen, sharing his design philosophy "form follows content" with the audience. Selected projects from over 20 years illustrate a journey through a Scenographic Wonderland featuring Museums, Exhibitions, Expo-Pavilions and innovative concepts based on his understanding of contemporary scenography.

Shirin Frangoul-Brückner holds a lecture at the international conference "Human remains in archaeological museums" in the Acropolis Museum, Athen. She addresses the question of how to deal with human remains in museum exhibitions and presents
ATELIER BRÜCKNER's approach.

The Wagenhallen Stuttgart win the coveted award "Beispielhaftes Bauen" by the Baden-Württemberg Chamber of Architects.

Focus on the collection: The Swiss National Museum stages its holdings. From 11 October onwards, the new permanent exhibition will be open for viewing in the Landesmuseum Zurich.
