Michel Casertano became partner and shareholder at ATELIER BRÜCKNER on 30th September 2024. The architect has been with the firm since 2005 and an Associated Partner since 2012. He has been working alongside Prof. Eberhard Schlag, overseeing architectural projects. His expertise lies in the revitalisation of historic buildings, the creation of new cultural spaces, and architecture with a scenographic focus. "ATELIER BRÜCKNER is my professional home, and I’m excited to expand our architectural vision in this new role, both conceptually, organizationally, and with an emphasis on sustainability," Casertano remarked. His notable projects include the cultural ensemble Wagenhallen in Stuttgart, the GS Caltex Expo Pavilion in Yeosu, the conversion of Bocholt Textile Factory, and the BMW Museum in Munich. A respected speaker, guest critic, and juror, he was also teaching media at the Stuttgart State Academy of Fine Arts from 2009 to 2013. Managing Director Shirin Frangoul-Brückner commented that "Michel Casertano has profoundly influenced our work with his remarkable talent and unwavering dedication. His appointment not only strengthens our leadership but also paves the way for the continued success and growth of our firm."
30.09.2024Shirin Frangoul-Brückner honored as SEGD Fellow
“Shirin Frangoul-Brückner's influence on the design world extends far beyond her role at ATELIER BRÜCKNER. Her outstanding methods in storytelling and multisensory design have had a lasting impact on museum and exhibition design,” explained the jury of the SEGD Fellow award, one of the highest honors of the Society for Experiential Graphic Design (SEGD). Shirin Frangoul-Brückner accepted the award on September 28, 2024 in Dallas.
“I am very grateful for this recognition and honored to be part of such a distinguished group of past award winners. This award, which is dedicated to my entire team, also emphasizes the importance of creating narrative spaces that bring culture and history to life and inspire people,” says the Managing Director and architect. She is joined in receiving the award by graphic designer and typographer Stefan Sagmeister and Marquis Stillwell, New York designer and documentary film director. In addition, the Ephesus Experience Museum designed by ATELIER BRÜCKNER received one of the SEGD Global Design Awards.
The SEGD is an international organization based in Washington DC that specializes in the design of spatial experiences through graphic elements. It has been awarding the prestigious Fellow honor annually since 1987.

Cultural heritage - experienced in a new way: The Zeyrek Çinili Hamam in Istanbul combines the traditional bathing experience with a visit to a museum. ATELIER BRÜCKNER developed the brand and exhibition concept as well as the signage system. Time magazine named the bath one of the 100 greatest places in the world in 2024.

The Neuenmarkt railway station was officially reopened today. ATELIER BRÜCKNER revitalised the historic ensemble of reception hall, social building and goods shed. The renovation integrates the station building as a new meeting place into the grounds of the German Steam Locomotive Museum.

The Landesgartenschau 2024 in Wangen is now officially open - and with it the "Holz-Naturfaser-Pavillon", whose exhibition was designed by ATELIER BRÜCKNER in cooperation with the IntCDC / University of Stuttgart. It shows 13 innovative timber construction projects from the Landesgartenschau and provides information and insights into sustainable timber construction.
